Software Engineer

Responsibilities

The person we are looking for will have extensive development and administration expertise, knowledge of security concepts and practices, and an interest in learning and developing new technologies.
 
Our system is primarily developed as a web application in Java, but we also have components that run on microprocessors (written in assembly), and some systems-level code (written in C++). We also use a variety of scripting languages. We are always looking for new and more efficient technologies and languages to use.
 
The specific requirements for this position are:

  • At least 5 years commercial development experience
  • Significant commercial experience in at least one of Java, C++,  or C#
  • Commercial experience in at least one scripting language like Python, Ruby, Perl, Javascript
  • Experience in remotely administering Linux and Windows

This position is in our San Francisco office with the core development team. Due to the high security requirements, the candidate must be a US citizen and will be required to undergo a background check.

Bonus points

  • Direct experience in automating cloud operations
  • Experience with cryptography, in particular smart cards and hardware security modules
  • Experience of audit and assurance processes
  • Developed open source code that we can review
